I remember all the joy, excitement, strength, energy, force, and will that we had when we started this journey. We were so happy to engage in mission and serve with people we hadn’t met before, in places we had probably never been to, and not knowing what was ahead of us. We were given job descriptions, but we didn’t have any idea what the job would really be like. We were ready to meet new people and live in communities far from our families, countries or even continents. With God’s help we started the journey, continued despite moments of difficulties, confusion, tears, anxiety, joy, laughter, and peace. We stood firm, continued the journey, didn’t give up. I want to thank God, the Alpha and the Omega, and all of you my big family, for being there for us, not abandoning us, strengthening us, and helping us to complete our journey. The class of 2014-2016 is at the end of the journey and the question that comes to our mind is “WHAT NEXT?” We are anxious about our next step. We have fallen in love with social justice service. In a way we wish to continue, but some of us are being called for more responsibility in our families, churches, communities, and countries. All of that leads us to ask ourselves what we should do. When I think of this, there are some verses that come to my heart and I want to share them with you. Be blessed!
Jeremiah 29:11 says “For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope.”
Proverbs 16:3 says “Commit your work to the Lord, and your plans will be established.”
Proverbs 19:21 says “Many are the plans in the mind of a man, but it is the purpose of the Lord that will stand.”
And Just as the Lord has been before, he will be with us in our next step:
Psalm 23:6 says “Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life, and I shall dwell in the house of the Lord forever.”
