One time I was at a conference for ministers in the area and was staying at a retreat center. They told us to go out and sit in different places to reflect on questions that were given. I decided to climb a tree, and write in my journal from there. When I came down a man came over and said that another man wanted to speak with me. It was an older gentleman, who you could tell everyone respected. He had me sit down next to him and told me of a story of a man who had taken a nap in a tree and woken up to a green mamba next to his face. (He was ok. No worries!) The gentleman told me, “When in Africa, you must first look up to see what has come before you.”
